All First Team products are warranted against manufacturers defects at delivery. Additionally, First Team warranties most products for a given period of time as stated in the literature. Below is and explanation of First Team's warranty levels. Any First Team warranty is granted solely to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable to any subsequent owner, lessee, or acquirer of the product. The warranty terminates automatically upon any resale or transfer of the product.
Limited Warranty:
Covers any damage caused by normal basketball activity and normal player contact with the goal. "Normal basketball activity" and "Normal player contact" shall be described as any action that is necessary for participation in the game of basketball. Deliberate hanging on the rim, multiple player hanging, and vandalism are not covered under the Limited Warranty.
Superior Warranty:
Covers any damage or failure caused by any type of basketball activity or related contact with the unit. This includes deliberate hanging on the rim. The Superior Warranty does not cover vandalism.
Unconditional Warranty:
Covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason. Any product carrying an Unconditional Warranty is exempt from the above stated limitations.
Any normal wear and tear caused by weathering or UV exposure is not covered under any First Team warranty. All painted items carry a one year limited warranty on coating.
Some basketball products carry a warranty valid only when used in a residential setting. "Residential" is defined as a "single family dwelling." Products coverd by this warranty stipulation are indicated in First Team's product literature with a "R" symbol next to the warranty. Under no circumstances shall any basketball product carrying a strictly residential warranty be covered for non-residential use.
Due to the abusive nature of amusement facilities, unless specifically agreed to in writing, First Team products carry no warranty except for obvious manufacturing defects when used in an entertainment facility where players pay a fee to use the equipment.
What is the difference between victory, triumph, and tradition backboard packages?
The tradition package features a classic 48-inch tall by 72-inch wide backboard design. both victory and triumph use a modern 42-inch tall by 72-inch backboard. the triumph backboard includes reinforced construction designed to handle collegiate-level activity such as dunking and hanging on the rim.
What are the actual dimensions of the supermount wall boards?
The supermount wall boards are made from standard 2x8 lumber, with actual dimensions measuring approximately 1.5 inches by 7 inches. each board has an exact length of 84 inches and includes flanged elevator bolts extending from the back side for arm attachment.
What is the maximum wall mount extension distance available?
The furthest wall extension available is 12 feet using either the supermount82 or foldamount82 systems. while the telescoping feature does not extend to 13 feet, adding the optional height adjuster increases the maximum reach to approximately 12 feet 3 inches.
Do you sell just the wall mount for 72" backboards?
Yes, multiple wall mount options are available for 72-inch backboards. the wallmonster is a recommended starting option, while both supermount and foldamount systems are also designed to support 72-inch backboards.
Can wall mounted units be attached to columns instead of walls?
Wall-mounted units are not intended for direct column installations. however, the adjustable arm system, backboard, and rim from the champ or vector in-ground systems can be adapted for a column if properly drilled and securely bolted. this arrangement supports height adjustment but does not include retractable functionality.
Can wall mounted basketball goals be adjustable?
Yes, most wall-mounted basketball systems can be equipped with adjustable height functionality. standard adjustment ranges typically span from 8 to 10 feet, while the wallmonster offers the widest range.
Is the supreme suitable for heavy play/competition?
Yes, the supreme features durable 1/2-inch acrylic construction suitable for demanding use. however, tempered glass is generally preferred for competitive settings and organized basketball play.
