Bison offers T-Rex portable basketball systems designed for every level of play, from elite FIBA-sanctioned international competition to intramural and recreational use. Each model incorporates advanced extension-spring counterbalance technology that enables quick, safe, and effortless raising, lowering, and storage. Pivot points move smoothly on maintenance-free, self-lubricating bearings with chrome-plated steel axles. Ballast weight is concealed within a covered containment compartment, while slim-profile uprights minimize sightline obstruction for spectators and media behind the base. Floor-friendly 8" x 2" casters—configured by model—make relocation easy and secure, and all T-Rex units in transport position can pass through doorways at least 84" high and 78" wide.

Programs seeking additional player protection may opt for the T-Rex International, which provides an extra 32" of safe play area. Given the faster, more physical style of modern play, this model is recommended when space and budget permit. Clearance between the end line and nearby bleachers or walls will determine whether its 10' 8" safe play area is suitable. To support the extended reach, the system incorporates roughly 400 pounds of additional rear ballast along with extra springs for balance. The International model includes the same premium glass backboard, 180° breakaway rim, backboard/beam/base padding, automatic base control system, and other high-end features found on the T-Rex Americana. Steel base components come standard with a bright white powder-coated finish, with additional color options available for an added cost. Custom padding graphics can be specified with the ABC50 option.

Bison’s T-Rex International is approved for FIBA Level 1 and Level 2 competition. When a FIBA Equipment Certificate of Approval is required, the optional BAFIBA designation can be added to the order at no additional charge. FIBA-approved wall-mounted and ceiling-suspended backstop systems are also available.
