The Rae Crowther Power Bow Sled is built to give both players and coaches instant feedback on base, upper-body strength, and finishing power. Two weight horns mounted on the sled's rear wing, plus a third horn behind the pad, let coaches load the sled evenly for traditional pushing reps or intentionally unbalance it by stacking plates on one side.

That unbalancing feature is the sled's signature drill: loading extra plates on one side forces the sled to pull in that direction, replicating the kind of rotational and anti-rotational force a player feels from an opposing lineman, and training the player to fight through it rather than get knocked off their track. It is a simple way to build the finishing strength that separates players who fade at the whistle from those who drive all the way through the block.

Like the rest of Rae Crowther's sled line, the Power Bow uses the HPST, or Hip Power Spring Tech, resistance system, which engages as the pad is leveraged and can be tuned to a team's level of play. Coaches can choose between the H1 pad, with real shoulder pads and jersey mounted to a foam torso for realistic hand placement, or the E2 pad, whose concave shape and tight hand pockets are ideal for shoulder and flipper techniques. The pad angle adjusts tool-free between 0, 12, and 20 degrees to match distance-to-contact, and the sled runs on turf or grass.

  • Pad options: H1 or E2
  • Pad lean angles: 0, 12, 20 degrees
  • Weight horns: 2 on the wing, 1 on the chassis
  • Pad colors: Black, Navy, Royal, Red, Green, Gold

  • Adjustable weight horns on the wing and chassis allow the sled to be run balanced or intentionally unbalanced
  • Unbalancing the sled trains players to fight through rotational and anti-rotational force
  • HPST, Hip Power Spring Tech, resistance system engages when the pad is leveraged
  • Choice of realistic H1 pad or concave, tight-fit E2 pad
  • Tool-free pad lean adjustment: 0, 12, 20 degrees
  • Runs on turf or grass

Detailed setup instructions, spec sheets, and demonstration videos for this equipment are available through the Rae Crowther product library. Contact Pro Athletic Supply customer service for help with setup, replacement parts, or additional documentation.

What is the purpose of unbalancing the power bow sled?
Loading plates unevenly on the wing simulates the rotational force a defender applies during a block, training the player to keep driving through resistance rather than losing their track.
What's the difference between the h1 and e2 pads?
The h1 pad has real shoulder pads and a jersey for realistic hand placement, while the e2 pad has a concave shape with tight hand pockets suited to shoulder and flipper techniques.
Can the power bow be used on both turf and grass?
Yes, it is designed to perform on either surface.
