The Varsity S-Advantage Sled is built to serve nearly every position on the field. Its curved S-Pads are shaped to represent the actual contact position of a player, so the same sled works for offensive and defensive linemen, running backs, linebackers, defensive backs, and tight ends practicing hands, punch, forearm, shoulder, rip, or swim technique.

Because each pad connects to the frame with a single low link, players can run through the sled rather than around it, and the S-Pads extend close to the ground so crab blocks and goal-line work don't require a separate low sled. The Hit-Tech Leverage Mechanism lets each pad rise from a starting position to a nearly upright position as the player drives — it takes about 189 lbs. of force per inch to leverage, plus the weight of the pad itself, so the resistance builds the longer the player fires their hips through the block instead of tapering off partway through.

Pad Options

  • S1 (standard): head, torso, waist, and knee shape for general contact-position work
  • S2: adds a chest breastplate with give and stubby arms for hand-placement difficulty
  • S3: narrow hand pockets for punch accuracy (not recommended for tackling drills)

  • Sizes: 2 through 7-man configurations
  • Pad-to-pad spacing: 56 in. center-to-center
  • Leverage force required: approx. 189 lbs. per inch, plus 90 lb. pad plate weight
  • Pad options: S1, S2, S3
  • Colors: Black, Navy, Royal, Red, Green

  • Curved S-Pads represent a realistic player contact position for every technique
  • Run-through frame design for a wider range of drills
  • Pads extend near the ground for crab blocks and goal-line work
  • Hit-Tech Leverage Mechanism builds resistance as the pad rises, rewarding hip drive
  • Heavy steel construction and removable pads for storage

Available in 2 through 7-man configurations with S1, S2, or S3 pads. An optional wheel kit (priced by sled size) is available for moving the sled off turf for games or events. A JV-scaled version of this sled is also sold separately.

If a covered defect occurs, Rae Crowther Co.'s sole obligation is to repair or replace the defective part; a Return Authorization Number must be obtained before returning any product for a warranty claim. This warranty does not cover damage from misuse, negligence, accident, improper assembly, ordinary wear and tear, vandalism, or unauthorized repairs and alterations.

What's the difference between the s1, s2, and s3 pads?
S1 is the standard player-shaped pad, s2 adds a chest breastplate and stubby arms for extra hand-placement difficulty, and s3 has narrow hand pockets built for punch accuracy rather than tackling.
Can this sled be used for goal-line or crab-block drills?
Yes, the s-pads extend close to the ground, so the sled can handle low-pad-level and crab-block work without needing a separate sled.
