The Rae Crowther Motion Tackler V5 is a tackling sled that moves with the player instead of standing still. A coach holds the coaching bar and pushes the sled toward the tackler, creating real movement and closing speed that a stationary sled can't replicate. Once contact is made, the coach can hold the bar for added resistance or let go entirely.

The S Pad angle can be adjusted on the fly, so a coach can tilt it downward as the tackler closes in to simulate a ball carrier dropping his pad level before contact. A built-in brake engages automatically once the pad is lifted about 2 inches on contact, stopping the sled from rolling back toward the coach and letting the player drive it to the ground. The Motion Tackler is built to bridge the gap between static bag work and full-speed, live tackling, cutting down on the wear and tear of repeated player-on-player collisions while still building real tackling technique.

Features

  • Sled moves during the rep instead of standing static
  • Coach-adjustable pad angle simulates a ball carrier lowering his pad level
  • Automatic brake engages on contact to stop backward roll
  • Choice of S1 (single arm) or S2 (dual arm) pad
  • Powder-coated black finish

  • Pad options: S1 single-arm pad or S2 dual-arm pad
  • Finish: Powder-coated black
  • Brake: Engages automatically when pad lifts approx. 2 in. on contact

  • Moves with the player via a coach-controlled coaching bar
  • Adjustable S Pad angle simulates a ball carrier lowering pad level
  • Automatic rollback brake engages on contact
  • Reduces live-tackling wear and tear while preserving technique work

Rae Crowther Co. warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. If a covered defect occurs, Rae Crowther Co.'s sole obligation is to repair or replace the defective part; a Return Authorization Number must be obtained before returning any product for a warranty claim. This warranty does not cover damage from misuse, negligence, accident, improper assembly, ordinary wear and tear, vandalism, or unauthorized repairs and alterations.

What's the difference between the s1 and s2 pads?
The s1 pad is a single-arm pad, while the s2 pad adds a second arm and chest plate for more realistic hand-placement work.
How does the brake work?
When a player hits the sled and lifts the pad about 2 inches, a brake engages automatically to stop the sled from rolling back toward the coach.
Can the sled actually move during a rep?
Yes — the coach holds the coaching bar and pushes the sled toward the player, creating real closing movement instead of a stationary target.
